Cyber Bullying
The article talks about how many people has stirred trouble through the internet, pretending to be someone else. It has gotten so serious that there is now a law on it. It is now illegal to even say you are someone else and say mean things to others. If you break that law, you would reciece a $1,000 fine. I think that it's right to make this law because I have witnessed so many tims of cyber bullying through the internet, and it can be really hurtful. It might maybe help at least reduce the amount of people who does cyber bullying.

California "Cyber-Bully" Bill Takes Effect
Bullying, a word that is just gross.
The Internet is used for work, convenience, research, and fun for all ages, but some people are found impersonating other people. This act will hurt the victim and also the impersonator. Thanks to this new law, impersonators on the internet will receive the punishment of heading to prison and expected to pay a fine of $1000.
This act of cyber bullying is just plain pathetic, don't people have much better things to do?
A solution to this is just to seek out the impersonator and punish them. Another possible solution is to shut down the pathetic websites that are posting these comments and place strict laws to creating a website. Why must there be impersonators? I know that there are many type of conflicts in an individual's life, but does it have to lead to the case where people use the internet to abuse another person? Why can't these people just find a solution to their problems by using some common sense? Overall, any form of bullying is just plain pathetic and would just cause even more problems to occur. Bullying is not the way to solve problems.

Cyber Bullying
Cyber bullying is making posts and comments on the Web under someone else's name. It's now a serious issue and the government has made a law to prevent it from worsening. Impersonating someone is illegal and you can get charged for nearly $1,000 for doing so. I think bullying itself is something very hard to withstand and now we also have to deal with cyber bullying? I honestly think that people must not have anything better to do. I have definetly witnessed cyber bullying countless of times in the internet. I think that having this bill is good because it prevents most people from cyber bullying. I know if I was getting cyber bullied, I would want something tod be done about it.

California "Cyber-Bully" Bill Takes Effect January 1, 2011
With this recent bill that was passed, it is now illegal to bully someone online and using a false impersonation of someone to target a victim. Cyber bullying is like the same as bullying in person. You may be behind a computer screen and writing horrible rumors and false statements about someone but it works the same way as physical bullying. Those that are caught committing this crime are fined up to $1,000 and/or up to one year in jail. Along with this bill, cyber stalking would also fall into this category. You would be invading someone's privacy and might even threaten their safety.
Many victims of cyber bullying feel a sense of helplessness since there's no way in finding out who may had done it since the sources can come from many places, and you can never be certain to find the right person to stop them from harassing you. It can also make the victim feel beaten down but there's really nothing to do about it, then which leads to damaged self esteem that can take a lifetime to recover. And a victim may always feel that they are being watched and everything that they would have to do would have to be planned carefully. Today, cyber bullying has gone out of control. But hopefully with this bill passed, it would help regulate it.
I am glad that this bill is taking effect because cyber bullying is the same as any other bullying and it is NOT acceptable under any circumstances. I hope that this will reduce the number of bullies and the numbers of victims from this horrible experience in the near future. It hurts many people's reputations and even their own self-esteems.

Cyber Bullying Bill Jan. 1, 2011
Cyber bullying has always been a major issue concerning about the internet. Cyber bullying can lead to serious consequences such as suicides and homicides, and I think that the new laws might be able to prevent some cases from happening, but it needs to take on higher measures to completely prevent such tragedies. I feel that people that bully others are probably cowards or they may feel powerless within the real society that they needed to act like "trolls" to vent out their frustrations that they don't dare to confront. They need to stop doing that because I think it's stupid and pointless trying to make the victims look bad online.
In some cases, cyber-bullying cause unnecessary troubles to other people beside the bullies and the victims. For instance, if you're under the age of 18, your parents are somewhat hold responsible for your action by paying your fine, etc. Furthermore, it goes into your records which wouldn't be goof for your job/college applications. People have the rights to voice their opinions, but when people abuse that rights, it is not only unacceptable, but also a disgrace and involve innocent people for their actions.

Cyber Bullying
I think that cyber bullying is a way for weak people to say blandishments to the people that they’re opposing too. They are just scared and not willing to confront the person and tell them what they think about them; instead they post things online to send a message. They use social networks like “Facebook” , “MySpace” and etc , so that they can send stuff online to make other people feel bad , but in fact they’re just snitching on themselves because when they try to look for jobs and a future career , their bosses might check on their “Facebook” pages and find things like that. Overall cyber bullying is just a scared way to express your feelings.
Cyber Bullying?
Of course everyone has heard of bullying. But as time changes, so do methods. Cyber bullying is the new, hip way to target people. With all the social networking sites online currently, spreading rumors or harmful teases can reach millions of people instantly. This form of bullying is extreme in how quickly it will affect the victim. And also, anything posted on the internet will never be deleted, so this type of bullying will leave a scar that lasts just as long. I find the idea of bullying another person to be absolutely pathetic. Especially if said bully must publicize the deed in such a way that everyone has access to it. I believe bullies are a bunch of ignorant children who are unable to grow-up and keep with the times so they try to hold on to as many people as possible on their sinking ship. Cyber bullying is an absurdity in its existance and I feel that people should not be affected by it too much because it's nothing but a bunch of pixels.
Cyber Bullying
I believe this law is somewhat good and somewhat bad. Its like bitter-sweet. The penalties are pretty harsh but something does need to be done to stop this. People may not realize this but the things they write or do online is very revealing and most of the time it can be hurtful to others. I do agree that cyber bullying should stop but the consequences are too much in my opinion. It should be $500fine and 6 months in prison or something like that. Everyone expects to be safe and have their name concealed behind a computer screen but this law contradicts it all.

I think that cyber-bullying is wrong because i don't understand why some people would spend all their time posting stupid comments online. They may think it is funny but they don't understand how much it will hurt the victim. People are inconsiderate of other people's feelings-they are selfish. They shouldn't post or say things online that they wouldn't say in person. I'm glad this bill is taking place because cyber-bullying can lead to things more serious, like depression.
cyber-bullying
I think the new law to stop cyber bullying is great. There should've been one a long time ago. there are so many people harmed, some even lose their lives. Youths today are always on the web, and that's where most of the bullying are now done. Bullies think they can get away with it, but they can't. I always take bullying as a serious crime. Being raised in North Carollina helped me realized this. I winessed a guy, who was one of less than 15 asian students at my old school, being bullied. The bullying was partly because he was asian. and I being asian felt it (bullying) veered towards me.

Cyber Bullying
I am very happy that this law has passed because I think it is wrong for someone to take the identity of someone they don't like and use it to say bad things online. The person might not even know what is happening until they apply for a job or for college and they are not accepted because of getting their identity stole. I also feel happy that people who are cyber-bullying are going to get punished, because cyber-bullying often leads to suicide. Because you don't know who it is people feel more confident to say really nasty things that they otherwise wouldn't say face to face. This is worse than any other bullying because you don't know who it is and it damages your reputation for the whole world to see. I am happy people are putting a stop to this, because people already deal with enough problems in their lives they don't need more drama. It is important to stop this form of bullying because if we don;t it will escalate into something that will be hard to stop. I hope that this makes people stop and think before they bully someone on the web. People need to realize that this is a serious crime.
